WE'RE LOOKING FOR METEOROLOGISTS TO RECORD TROPICAL STORM AND HURRICANE ALERTS ONLY A HALF HOUR A DAY, AT THE SAME TIME
MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY OR SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
You choose the time that fits your schedule. (Half hour shifts available all around the clock in six time zones)
- IF YOU'RE PROFICIENT WITH EDITING SOFTWARE,
- IF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE RECORDING CUT-INS FOR TV OR RADIO,
YOU WILL BE GOOD AT RECORDING WXCASTS, TROPICAL STORM AND HURRICANE ALERTS FOR OUR NEARLY 300 AFFILIATES TO USE AS STORMS APPROACH THEIR AREA.
WHAT DOES RADIO FORECAST NETWORK DO?
We push out content to radio stations across the US, Canada and the Caribbean Islands---specifically, weather. Our wxcasters deliver wxcasts the way our affiliates want them delivered.
Using our proprietary online software, MediaAdPro, RFN announcers record, edit and upload customized weather forecasts to our website for our affiliates to download and air throughout the day.
Why do radio stations use our service?
Our sixteen-year success in providing weather service to our affiliates is simple; we deliver a "recorded-live" WXcast to RFN affiliates that STANDS OUT.
We provide a variety of WXcaster voices on stations with too few local voices.
More syndication means radio stations MUST sound hyper-local. RFN fills that need in this ever decreasing radio world of live jocks.. We offer a different WXcaster for each daypart.
Here's what's expected from you...
Using our Proprietary software, we ask our announcers to record, edit and upload a small list of customized weather forecasts, tropical storm and hurricane alerts to our website for our affiliates to download and to air on their stations throughout the day.
All we ask is for you to record WXcasts a half hour per day during the SAME time period every weekday...........
Weekend ONLY shifts are also available.
This is a PART TIME Position.
This is NOT to replace your current job! This is a “part time gig” to be recorded from your own home, on your own computer, with YOUR editing software and OUR proprietary online software.
The Pay is in Barter Dollars
Your Down-Time Is Your Excess Inventory
Turn Your Excess Inventory Into Goods and Services and Improve the Quality of Your Life
The simplest way to look at it. You are trading your "excess inventory" (A half hour of your talent per day) in exchange for goods and services available from thousands of local and national businesses participating in this group of barter exchanges. Their "excess inventory" is available within the barter exchange to trade for the goods and services THEY need to run their businesses.
Choose from the list of businesses around the country (some of which may be in your area) who are members of the same trade exchange. You'll be paid in trade exchange dollars through an organized barter exchange online system, and will be able to spend those dollars on the goods and services you want. It allows you to buy the things you simply can’t justify (or don't want to pay) with cash.
Here are a few examples: restaurants, hotels, resorts, bed and breakfast getaways, amusement park tickets, Christmas gifts, jewelry, hair salons, oil changes, car washes, and so much more. I have EVEN seen listings of high dollar items like log cabins and land.
You can even use your trade dollars to help set up your own part time voice-over business using business services like website design, printing, CPAs, attorneys, graphic artists to design a logo, website design and more.
Exceptions to certain goods and services
Please understand that some items are just not available: low margin-of-profit items like gasoline, groceries, new computers, new electronics, appliances, etc.
Please do not ask for these items, as the cost to the seller to provide these items outweigh the benefits to that company.
However, there are countless other items available nationwide to enhance the quality of your life. We can talk about the details when we get together by phone .
How much can you expect to get paid?
Work a few hours per week, and you can earn $200 to $300 per week. Depending how fast you are at production. It works out to somewhere near $30 to $60 per hour. Some announcers make $80 to $90 per hour. It's all about proficiency with editing software.
HOW do you get paid?
You deposit the trade dollars you earn into your barter account with the trade exchange. You immediately have these barter credits (dollars) available to spend among thousands of businesses nationwide.

Step 1

Step 2
You’ll receive an invitation to schedule a short Q&A phone call with me (Larry Usner) for a more detailed conversation about RFN and Barter.
Step 3
After you are satisfied and understand what’s expected, you’ll sign a short agreement and create a login to the "RFN Team Account" page. This page will allow you to access our training video and tutorials about recording and uploading Wxcasts to our affiliates. On this page you'll be able to access how to set up your trade exchange account, an explanation about Barter and tutorials about how everything works.
Step 4
Our Ops Manager, Jim Rinaldi, will then contact you to furnish you with a login for our proprietary software and assign a list of forecasts for you to deliver during the time frame that best fits your schedule.
